Our evil eye athlete Stefan Boermans comes from the Netherlands. Standing 204 cm tall, he discovered beach volleyball as the ideal sport for traveling the world and doing what he loves. Stefan describes himself as very social and entertaining, which is also reflected in his passion for board games. He always brings "Catan" and another game to tournaments to pass the time.

His athletic journey began at the age of 5 with soccer, which he played until he was 18. He then switched to indoor volleyball and only discovered beach volleyball at the age of 22. Stefan enjoys constantly developing himself and inspiring others. What makes others happy also makes him happy.

In beach volleyball, he particularly values the close collaboration with his partner on the field. Despite having a coach and support team around them, they have to face everything together during the game—through good times and bad. Additionally, Stefan loves traveling the world through the sport and getting to know new people and cultures.

With his presence on social media and good tournament results, Stefan hopes to inspire as many people as possible to take up beach volleyball. He sees a growing reach and hopes that the love for the sport will continue to grow.
