Bianca Somavilla's great passion is mountain biking and road cycling. Bianca started various sports from a very young age. However, she only started targeted training on her racing bike in 2016 and has since been able to celebrate numerous successes in a wide variety of competitions. Long endurance races appeal to Bianca most. That's why she has taken part in the Race Around Austria Challenge several times as well as the Ötztaler Radmarathon.

"For me, being on the road with a road bike means exploring new areas, riding small mountain roads, experiencing my body exerting itself and also pushing my physical and mental limits. What fascinates the Tyrolean most about mountain biking is riding downhill and especially technically challenging descents and single trails.

For the future development of the sport, she would like to see an equal representation of male and female athletes. "You can already see that there are an increasing number of women practicing cycling. I am also particularly pleased that the coverage of women in cycling is becoming a little more present. My wish is that this positive development continues," says Bianca.
