Colin Haley

Colin Haley is widely considered one of the most influential and experienced alpine climbers of his generation. Raised in Seattle, the American now spends much of his time in Chamonix, France, and the rugged expanses of Patagonia—two iconic regions that serve as his ultimate playgrounds and training grounds. Ever since his first steps as a child, Colin's life has revolved around the mountains. Over the years, he has developed an extraordinary level of mastery across all climbing disciplines, ranging from classic rock climbing to highly technical, extreme routes on the steepest peaks on Earth.

What fascinates Colin about mountaineering goes far beyond pure athletic success: it’s the synergy of wild landscapes, a dedicated community, and the constant balance between risk, weather, and tactics. He approaches his craft with an uncompromising mindset—both in his personal projects and in his view of the sport as a whole. Rather than playing to the cameras, Colin stands for honesty, accuracy, and strong ethics. It’s an approach that translates directly to his equipment: when every decision counts, he relies on uncompromised functionality and absolute reliability.
