Maximilian Foidl, or simply Max, is a passionate mountain biker from Graz, Austria. His greatest joy is riding his bike — especially on weekends at the World Cup races.
Max started his journey in the sport at the age of just six. Inspired by his father, who was a racer himself, Max naturally followed in his footsteps. In the beginning, it was all about building jumps and riding trails for fun. Later on, he joined a club, where structured training with a group of great people took things to the next level. However, the thrill of big jumps and technical trails has always remained an important part of his love for the sport.

What makes mountain biking so special for Max is the mass start on a looped course — racing in its purest and most exciting form.
Looking toward the future, Max hopes for the addition of a second mountain biking discipline at the Olympic Games, expanding opportunities for riders and the sport itself.
His biggest dreams? On the personal side, owning a house with a garden and a workshop. From a sporting perspective, he dreams of standing on the podium at a World Cup race.
